The Department of Political Science at T.P.S. College, Patliputra University, Patna, is a vibrant academic unit dedicated to the comprehensive study of political theories, political thought, institutions, governance, and public policy in both national and global contexts. The curriculum covers International Relations, Public Administration, Political Sociology, Research Methodology, International Law, Environmental Security, and contemporary political issues.

The Department of Political Science was established with the inception of T.P.S. College and has remained one of its core academic departments. The introduction of the CBCS system under NEP 2020 further strengthened its academic framework and enhanced opportunities for students pursuing higher education and competitive careers.

Bachelor of Arts (Political Science) under the CBCS framework as per NEP 2020 and Patliputra University guidelines.
Postgraduate Programme:
Master of Arts (Political Science) under the Choice Based Credit System (CBCS) comprising four semesters of six months each.
